Death in Singapore, Last visit in Guwahati
Zubeen Garg died in Singapore, where he died of an accident during scuba diving. His body was brought from Singapore to Guwahati on Sunday. Thousands of people were standing in queue on the 25 km long route from Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to his house, Kahilipada.
It took more than five and a half hours for the ambulance adorned with flowers to cover this distance, as the crowd gathered for their last darshan. There were people of all ages in this crowd. Everyone shouted flowers, paid tribute with folded hands and many people even wept in the grief to lose them. This was a moment that showed that Zubeen Garg was not just a singer, but the soul of Assam.
