Madhya Pradesh achieved milestones in renewable energy pricing: Yadav

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Saturday that Madhya Pradesh has achieved a milestone in renewable energy pricing, in which the fee has been reduced by three rupees per unit. He said that this is the first time in the country, when the renewable energy fee has come to Rs 2.70 per unit.

In an official statement, the Chief Minister said, India is touching new heights in the field of clean and affordable energy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Morena Solar Plus storage project will open a new path of green energy production and storage across the country.

Yadav expressed a pledge for long -term energy storage projects based on the success achieved in the Morena project. He emphasized that the low fee received in the project shows that renewable energy can also be more economical for discom.

The Chief Minister said that the project has become India’s first ‘Solar-Plus-Storage’ project with 95 percent annual availability. He said that till now only 50 percent of ‘peak hours’ availability and 85 percent annual availability were ensured in projects across the country.

Yadav said, “The Morena project will change this trend and set new standards of 95 percent supply in ‘Peak Hour’. Yadav said that Morena Solar Park has been implemented by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, which has already developed iconic renewable energy projects.

He said, electricity produced from Morena project will be purchased by the state. Two units are being installed in Morena Solar Park, each unit will produce 220 MW capacity energy in all three stages.
