The newly elected president of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) Aryan Mann on Friday thanked the students, saying that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has given a befitting reply to the Indian National Students Union (NSUI) by winning three out of four positions in this very exciting election. Aryan Mann of ABVP defeated Congress -backed NSUI candidate Josalin Nandita Chaudhary by 16,000 votes and captured the post of president. Mann got 28,821 votes, while Chaudhary of NSUI got 12,645 votes. Left-backed AISA-SFI candidate Anjali finished third with 5,385 votes.

Encouraged Maan told ANI that I feel very good. My dream of the last 5 years has been fulfilled. Today I want to thank every student of Delhi University, due to which I won by a margin of 16,000 votes … We once again gave a befitting reply to NSUI and won 3–1 against him. He said that it would be his priority to install lights in the dark areas of the Delhi University campus.
The ABVP leader said that the campus has many dark areas for girl students; We will install lights in those dark areas. Kunal Chaudhary of ABVP, who won the post of secretary, also thanked the students of Delhi University and assured him that he would stand with him. Kunal Chaudhary told ANI that I feel very good. I want to thank every student of Delhi University for voting and supporting me. I want to assure them that whenever they need me, I will stand with them.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Vice President of DUSU, Rahul Jhansla of NSUI thanked his team, who worked with him throughout his election campaign. Jhansla told ANI that my team worked very hard and I dedicate my victory to my team. I want to thank everyone for supporting me throughout my journey. It was a tough competition. I congratulate all the candidates, be it their victory or defeat. Life does not stop here.
