Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme: Chief Minister will issue first installment on 22 September

The Bihar government has taken an ambitious step to make women financially strong and self -reliant. Under the Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme, a woman from each family will be given 10 thousand rupees. Inaugurating the scheme, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will send the first installment of Rs 10 thousand thousand to the account of 50 lakh women of the state on 22 September (Monday). There will be a distribution of 5 thousand crore rupees among these women to provide self -employment.
The Chief Minister will transfer this amount through DBT to the bank accounts of beneficial women. For this, a state level program has been organized at 11 am on Monday morning. Lokesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Rural Development Department, has issued a letter to the DM of all the districts. In this, it has been specially instructed that it will be celebrated as a celebration at the cluster level union village organization level on this occasion. The program organized at the state headquarters will be broadcast live with the objective of celebrating this historical occasion as a celebration and making information about it to the people and to make women groups and community organizations aware. This program will also be organized at the gram panchayat level, in which members of the Jeevika Self Help Group (SHG) will participate.

This will be the outline of the program

– The outline of this program has been determined. A district level program will be organized under the chairmanship of DM at all 38 district headquarters. Apart from public representative, at least 1 thousand women associated with district level officers and self -help groups will participate.
– This program will be held in all 534 block headquarters under the chairmanship of BDO (Block Development Officer). Block level public representative, officer and 500 women associated with SHG will participate in it.
– This program will also be organized on all 1680 packages of livelihood. It will include 200 women from the cluster level livelihood group.
– Live broadcast of this program has also been arranged at all 70 thousand village organization level of Jeevika. 100 women associated with SHG will participate in it.
 

This is the purpose of the scheme

This amount will help women start self-employment, establish small businesses or increase existing businesses. With the financial assistance provided under this scheme, women will be able to invest in farming, animal husbandry, handicrafts, sewing, weaving, and other small enterprises. Women will be able to become self -reliant by starting self -employment. With this, their family will also be strengthened. The main objective of the scheme is to benefit women from rural and urban areas, especially the economically weaker sections, equally.
 

1 crore 5 lakh Didis applied

For this, online registration and application process has been kept simple, so that more and more women can take advantage of it. To take advantage of this, 1 crore 5 lakh Jeevika Didis have applied so far. Also, more than 1 lakh 40 thousand women have applied to join the group. There is a provision to give benefits to women associated with self -help groups.
 

They can take advantage of the scheme

The benefit of the scheme will be available to those families including husband and wife and their unmarried children. Such unmarried adult women whose parents are not alive will also be eligible. The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 60 years. Applicants or her husband should not be an income tax payer. Along with them or her husband should not be in government service (regular or contract). All women associated with Jeevika Self Help Group will be eligible for this scheme.
 

This is the process of application

Rural Area:- Women associated with SHG will submit applications to their village organization. A special meeting will be held at the village organization level, in which all the members of the group will be applied in an integrated form. Women who are not connected to self -help groups will first have to join the group by applying in the prescribed form in their village organization.
