The ridicule of laborers from other states in Punjab has now reached the demand to exclude them from Punjab. By adding their names with these small crimes from these laborers to eating khaini-gutka, hatred campaign is being carried out in the state under the guise of disgusting acts done by criminal types of people from outside states.
On September 13, a person from another state in Hoshiarpur on September 13 treated 5 -year -old Harveer like demons and later brutally murdered him. The police have arrested its accused, but the radical powers have started playing their disgusting game under the guise of resentment arising from this incident. Now in many places in the state, panchayats are passing a resolution against workers coming from other states. Only 25 panchayats have passed such a resolution in Hoshiarpur, in which the workers from outside have been said to not give work, do not give houses to live, do not make their Aadhaar cards and ration cards. In Bathinda, the Panchayat of deep Devi Nagar has passed such a resolution.
In Punjab these days, hatred campaign is being conducted against these laborers from outside states on social media, in which the image of hardworking laborers is being made criminal. The separatists sitting in Canada, America, Italy, Germany, Australia are at the forefront among those who poison these laborers. Due to this, the problem of misbehavior with migrant laborers in Punjab has taken serious form. Overseas laborers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are not being allowed to work in villages. Former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi called the migrant laborers coming from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as ‘Bhaiya’ in the assembly election campaign. The sad thing is that at that time the party’s leader Priyanka Gandhi had applauded this shameful statement of Channi. One such case has come from Mohali, where migrant laborers were driven away from a village. In Jandpur village of Mohali district, migrant laborers are not allowed to hire houses. There have been 11 types of restrictions for him in the village, including restrictions on going out after 9 pm, banning smoking and chewing tobacco, and strict rules regarding their clothes. The Gurdwara Committee of the village decided that migrant laborers could no longer live in the villages. In August this year, the process of removing migrant laborers from Mundo Sangatian village started. When the laborers were evacuated from the village and excluded from the village, the matter reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. A person named Vaibhav Vats filed a petition against illegal removal of migrant laborers, causing the matter to be legal discussion.

On the other hand, the pain of migrant laborers earn money with their hard work, but they do not get respect here. The workers are humiliated by calling Bhaiya and they have to face discrimination due to their dark color. Criminal elements in industrial cities like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar rob the auto drivers, street vendors, hawkers and loot them alone. On the day of salary, these workers are special goals of these criminal elements and they are looted on the way while going home from the factory. The police administration does not pay attention to their complaints and many times an FIR is not registered. Many labor settlements are deprived of fundamental facilities like road, electricity, water, sewerage and these workers are living hellish lives. Political parties lure them and get votes from them, but due to unorganized, their demands are not even noticed. The demand of the hour is that strict action should be taken against the powers running against the working class, taking strict action on criminal acts and providing complete security and civic amenities to the workers of outside states residing in Punjab.
This campaign in the state cannot be taken lightly, because the state has been burning in the fire of separatism for the last several decades. The work of putting bonfire in this heat of scatter is doing anti-social powers sitting in the country and abroad.
