Drug seized in West Seang of Arunachal Pradesh, a person arrested

In the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, the police arrested him after seizing 11.63 grams of restricted substance worth Rs 60,000 from a person. An official provided this information on Wednesday.

The official said that on the basis of reliable information, the police led by Alo Police Station Incharge Inspector Yomken Riram conducted a campaign on Tuesday night under the direct supervision of West Siang Superintendent of Police Kardak Reeba.

Police said that during the campaign, a person was arrested in Alo’s Hisam Colony while he was returning to Alo from Silapathar in Assam. According to the legal process, the official said, during the search of the person in the presence of Executive Magistrates and Witnesses, the police recovered 1.71 grams of heroin and 9.92 grams of hemp, which is about Rs 60,000 for the total price.

A case was registered against the individual under the Aloe police station under the Swagat Drug and Mana: Act, 1985. Police said the case is under investigation to identify the source, smuggling network and the accused of the accused.
