Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra starts again after 22 days: Wave of happiness among devotees, Jai Mata Di shouted!

Amidst the slogans of Jai Mata Di, the pilgrimage of Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir started again on Wednesday. The Vaishno Devi pilgrimage has started again after being postponed for 22 days due to heavy rains and landslides. The reopening of the pilgrimage has brought relief and happiness to the devotees, many of whom were waiting for the temple to be reopening in Katra. The pilgrims from all over the country have started reaching and expressing happiness that their long wait ends and now they will be able to seek blessings in the holy temple.

A pilgrim from Nagpur said that we were waiting for the journey to start again for the last four days. We had tickets of the 20th, but we were about to cancel them. Last night we received information that the journey was starting again. I am very happy and now I will be able to complete my journey. Mata Rani will fulfill my wishes and keep everyone happy. Another pilgrim from Nagpur, Umesh, said that I feel very lucky that the journey has started again. I was waiting for several days and many years. It was in my destiny to complete this pilgrimage and worship Mother. I was confident that the journey would start again. She was just a little angry, but I was sure I would be able to meet her.

Another devotee Harshal said, “We had been waiting for three days. We canceled the ticket of our return to Andaman yesterday. We consider ourselves lucky that the journey has started.” The Vaishno Devi Yatra was to begin on September 14, but the area was also postponed for the 20th consecutive day due to bad weather. The journey was postponed due to continuous rains on the building and the road leading there. The authorities, citing security concerns, said that there has been a landslide due to continuous rains and the roads leading to the temple have been blocked, which has led to the movement for pilgrims. The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is also disrupted in many places due to landslides and damage to roads, causing connectivity to become even more complicated.
