According to the report of ESPN Cricwnfo, Pakistan Cricket Board will not boycott the tournament. This means that on September 17, Pakistan will clash with the host UAE. India is already qualified for Super-4 from Group A, so Wednesday’s match is very important. Whatever the match will win in Pakistan or UAE, its claim for Super-4 will be strong.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board had complained to the match referee Andy Paiyoft to the ICC. The board demanded immediate removal of him from the Asia Cup. PCB officials threatened that Pakistan would boycott the Asia Cup if this did not happen. The ICC turned down the demand for Pakistan on Tuesday.
The entire case started on 14 September with India vs Pakistan match. The captains of both teams did not join each other during the toss. India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in a one -sided match. After the match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and all the players did not join hands with Pakistan cricketers. Pakistani captain Salman Ali Agha and coach Mike Hessen also went towards the Indian dressing room to join hands with Indian players, but his door was closed. Due to this, Pakistan captain Agha boycotted the post match presentation.
