Bihar Chapter of the Indian Telecom Seva Association celebrated the 60th Foundation Day of its service in the auditorium of Bapu Tower in the capital Patna. On this occasion, Chief General Manager of BSNL, Bihar Circle Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary said that today there are more than 122 crore telecom consumers across the country. The country’s telecommunications density is 86.16 percent. The number of broadband service consumers in the country is 94.4 crore and 20 thousand yellow data are being used per month. He said that the Indian telecom sector is a strong pillar of the country’s economy with revenue of around Rs. Lakh crore rupees per year, which is six percent of the country’s total domestic product.
