As soon as the wheat season starts, the Food and Civil Supplies Department has transferred DFSC of 2 districts. DFSC Varinder Kumar of Amritsar has also been transferred. They have been replaced from here to Ropar.
He has been appointed as DFSO in Ropar. At the same time, DFSC Amanjit Singh Sandhu of Shri Muktsar Sahib has been replaced again. Amanjit Singh Sandhu was transferred from Amritsar to Sri Muktsar Sahib in February 2024. DFSC Varinder Kumar of Amritsar, after the order of transfers on Friday afternoon, also gave up his charge.
On Saturday, newly appointed DFSC Amanjit Singh Sandhu will take over. He said that farmers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem regarding loading and unloading of wheat in the mandis.
He said that the procurement agency Punjab Ware House, Markfed, Pansap and Pangraine officials and employees have been instructed to be available at all times in the mandis and the farmers should not be allowed to face any kind of trouble.
