Mumbai: Goods train stopped due to heavy rains, suburban train services of Central Railway affected

Local train services that were already delayed due to a freight train being stuck on the Central Railway Road in Thane district of Maharashtra were further affected. A railway official gave this information.

Train services are already affected due to heavy rains in the district. A spokesman for the Central Railway said that a freight train stopped between Badlapur and Ambarnath railway stations due to slipping of the wheel at around 12.55 pm.

The spokesman said, “The train has stopped on the track going to CSMT due to rain and wheel slipping. A supporting engine has been sent and it is being carried forward. ”

Passengers were trapped in local trains going to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in South Mumbai, due to which the crowd increased at railway stations. Local trains were running late since morning, especially on the main line (Kasara from CSMT), due to heavy rains in the low -lying areas near Dadar, Bayakula, Masjid, Kurla, Sion and other railway stations, due to heavy rains in the low -lying areas.
