Organized drone attacks affected the operation of 10 essential refineries, which reduced the processing capacity of Russia to more than 20%, equivalent to 1.1 million barrels per day (BPD), which led to serious challenges for the system already under pressure. These attacks affected the significant infrastructure including Sijaran Refinery, Krasnodar plants, Druzba Pipeline and Rotable Terminal, exposing the weaknesses of Russia’s energy distribution network. Russia responded by increasing its crude oil exports in international markets by 2,00,000 barrels per day.
