The woman died in a road accident on Sunday morning in Chandauli district, while a young man was seriously injured. Police gave this information. According to the police, Vivek Kumar (30), a resident of Hrdipur in Mughalsarai Kotwali area, was taking his maternal aunt Mamta Yadav (40) to Ramnagar to get medicine by bike and the bike overturned uncontrollably after hitting the divider on the Singhitali National Highway.
Police officials said Vivek and Mamta fell on the road in the accident and during this time an unknown vehicle coming from behind crushed Mamta, killing her on the spot while Vivek was seriously injured.
Alinagar police station in -charge Anil Kumar Pandey said that the body of the woman has been sent for post -mortem. He said that unknown vehicle involved in the accident is being searched.
