Ruckus over India-Pakistan match in Asia Cup, Owaisi raised questions, Shiv Sena protests demonstrations

The country is divided into two camps before the much awaited match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. After the death of 26 civilians in the Pahalgam terror attack and the ‘Operation Sindoor’, there are strict reactions across the country due to the increased tension between the two countries. Many politicians and citizens are against this match.
Owaisi targeted the government
AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized the central government for the match. He said that why the government does not have the right to refuse to play a cricket match with Pakistan in which Pakistan killed 26 innocent people? Owaisi questioned whether the earnings from this match are ‘more valuable than the lives of our 26 citizens?’
Reminding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s old statement, Owaisi said, “When you said that blood and water could not flow together, conversation and terrorism cannot be together, is the importance of 2000-3000 crore rupees to BCCI is more than the life of 26 citizens?”

While presenting his demand in a unique way, he said that he will send a ‘vermilion’ to the Prime Minister from every house. Party chief Uddhav Thackeray said that his female activists would take to the streets opposing the match. This protest is emphasizing that security and national honors are more important than economic benefits.
