Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone of crores of rupees projects in Darrang, Assam and targeted the Congress fiercely while addressing a public meeting. During this time, he mentioned the success of the recently run ‘Operation Sindoor’ and described it as the fruit of the blessings of Maa Kamakhya.
PM Modi’s sharp attack on Congress
PM Modi expressed displeasure over an alleged statement of the Congress President over the giving ‘Bharat Ratna’ to Bhupen Hazarika. He said that on the day Bhupen Hazarika was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the Congress President had said that Modi is giving ‘Bharat Ratna’ to ‘Dancing and Ghi’.
Modi also referred to Pandit Nehru’s statement ‘North-East’ after the 1962 war. He said that the present generation of Congress is also working to sprinkle salt on that wound.

PM made serious allegations against Congress
The Prime Minister accused the Congress of taking favor of anti -national and intruders. He said, “When the Congress was in power, it used to promote infiltration and today the Congress wants the intruders to settle in India forever.” He also said that when the whole country was struggling with terrorism, the Congress was silent, while today our army is ending terrorism by running ‘Operation Sindoor’, but the Congress stands with Pakistan.
Foundation of projects worth Rs 6,300 crore
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects during this period. These include Medical College, Nursing College and GNM School to be built at a cost of Rs 570 crore. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of 2.9 km long Nargi-Kuruva bridge and Guwahati Ring Road Project worth Rs 4,530 crore costing Rs 1,200 crore. This ring road will connect Kamrup and Darang districts of Assam to Ri Bhoi in Meghalaya.
