Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane on Saturday criticized Aditya Thackeray for opposing the upcoming India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 and said he would watch the match wearing a ‘burqa’. Speaking to the media, Rane said that Aditya Thackeray will wear an India-Pakistan match burqa and hide. Making fun of Thackeray, Rane also said that his voice will help hide his identity. He said that if he wearing a burqa and talking in that voice, then who will know that he is Aditya Thackeray.

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane said whether Saamana or Uddhav Thackeray has a moral right to comment on India-Pakistan match? During the rally of a MP of Uddhav Thackeray, slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were raised, green flags were waved, green gulal was flown and slogans like ‘Sir Tan Se Juda’ were raised. Then why did he not express anger towards Pakistan then? Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray questioned India’s participation in the match against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday, alleging that the government was joining politics and business with patriotism.

Addressing journalists, Thackeray said that our Prime Minister had said that blood and water cannot flow together, then how can blood and cricket flow together? How can war and cricket be together? … They have done patriotic business. The patriotic business is only for money. They are going to play the match tomorrow as they need all the money from that match. Uddhav Thackeray further announced that the Shiv Sena (UBT) female activists would perform a symbolic protest.

He said that tomorrow, women workers of Shiv Sena (UBT) will take to the streets of Maharashtra and they will send Prime Minister Modi to vermilion from every house.
