Buildings were destroyed in OP Sindoor, Pakistan gave Lashkar with earthquake relief money for reconstruction

Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) has demolished his Markaz Taiba headquarters at Muridke and started reconstructing it, which was destroyed in an Indian airstrike during Operation Sindoor on 7 May. Sources told India Today TV that this terrorist group is using the relief amount given for government money and flood victims in reconstruction of its terrorist structure. Barely five months later of Operation Sindoor, Lashkar has demolished his headquarters at Muridke. Three main buildings were targeted in this attack, which were used for cadre housing, arms storage and training centers. Only the skeletons of these buildings are left, making the site unusable to the operating requirements of the group.

The Markaz Tayiba campus began on August 18, when Lashkar-e-Taiba deployed five JCB machines to clean the remains. By 20 August, the Umble-ul-Qura training complex was partially demolished, and then on 4 September it was completely demolished. The final badly damaged residential block was completely demolished by 7 September. Currently, the entire campus has turned into debris and the work of removing debris is on, after which the reconstruction work will begin. During the four-day struggle in early May, the Pakistan government had publicly committed to providing funds for reconstruction of all damaged bases of state-provided terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Lashkar-e-Taiba received an initial aid package of 4 crore Pakistani rupees (Rs 1.25 crore) from Islamabad on 14 August for the reconstruction of Markaz Taiba. However, according to the group’s internal assessment, the complex will be required more than 15 crore Pakistani rupees (Rs 4.70 crore) to restore the premises at the level before the attack.
