Bomb threat in Delhi High Court turns out to be false

The judges and parties had to be taken out of the court rooms after receiving an e-mail threatening bomb in the Delhi High Court on Friday, but after the search, the police declared it a rumor.

The e-mail received by the court administration threatened to attack the High Court. After this, police and other agencies had to start a search operation. The Registrar General was threatened with an explosion in the chambers and court rooms of the judges in the e-mail received at around 8.39 am.

When the judges were busy in judicial proceedings, the court personnel came and told them about the bomb-threatening e-mail, after which they left the court room. Some judges started going out at 11.35 am, while other judges worked in their respective courts till 12 noon.

Under the security measures taken by the security personnel, everyone was asked to vacate the building. Later, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Devesh Kumar Mahala told the media persons that the threat of the bomb turned out to be false.

He said, “We have investigated the email and it has turned out to be false. There is no connection between this threat and bomb threats to schools in the last few weeks. “According to sources, the e-mail said,” The explosion in the Delhi High Court will remove the suspicion of previous threats today. “He said that the e-mail said that three bombs have been placed in the chambers/court premises of the judges and all should be vacated by two o’clock in the afternoon.
