Union Minister for Communications and North Eastern Region Development and Guna MP Jyotiraditya M. Scindia said in a program organized in Ashoknagar that now practices like Prime Minister, Sarpanchpati, District Panchayat husband and president will have to be abolished and women will have to take their rights in their hands.
In fact, today the Union Minister inaugurated the Reva Shakti Abhiyan, Hriday Yojana and single service portal in Ashoknagar today. On this occasion, Scindia criticized these practices pushing women into the second line and called for a resolve to give women their real rights. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of daughters to women and said that the daughter is not only the responsibility of the family, but the identity of the whole society. When a daughter is born, she creates the future of not only the house but the whole society. She also underlined the benefits of the region from the single service portal, heart scheme and Reva Shakti Abhiyan, saying that these schemes will create a new definition of good governance in the area.
Aim is to make 4400 children numed under Reva Shakti Abhiyan in the area
Scindia, referring to the main objective of Reva Shakti Abhiyan, said that daughters are not a burden, but a boon. Under this campaign, only families with one or two daughters in the district have been registered. They are being given special digital cards, registered families will get education fee exemption, priority in health services, scholarship, fare concession and social honor. This will give daughters a strong platform to study and move forward.
It is to be known that a big goal has been set to remove malnutrition under this campaign in Ashoknagar district. So far, 4,700 malnourished children were identified, out of which 4,400 children have been targeted to be numed. Scindia said that our resolve is that every child in the district should be fully numed and can lead a healthy life.
More than 2100 pregnant mothers get the benefit of Hriday Yojana
Scindia said during the program that thousands of malnourished children and pregnant mothers are getting safe maternity and nutrition services. So far, more than 2100 mothers have been registered and malnutrition management of 2000 children has been done. Scindia said that it is our responsibility to ensure that no daughter is deprived of education and no child is malnourished. Expressing concern over malnutrition, he said that malnutrition is not a disease in India today, but a shortage of our social system. We have to improve this together.
Single service portal will directly benefit eligible citizens: Scindia
Inaugurating the single service portal, the Union Minister said that this digital portal will give citizens to 24×7 government services and schemes transparent and safe. Scindia said that this technical initiative will make the life of the common man more easy and open accounts and plans in the name of daughters will benefit on time. This portal will directly benefit the eligible citizens, will give information about timely disposal and status of application and ensure transparency, efficiency and accountability.
Scindia continuously to bring women into the first line
Repeating her commitment to women empowerment during the program, the Union Minister said that I have tried for many years that women should come in the first line and when women come in the first line, men still try to hold on them. Therefore, this practices like councilor, president, sarpanchapati will have to be abolished and women will have to take their rights, in their hands. He also said that he is continuously working in this direction.
Scindia further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government is dedicated to the empowerment of women power on the first day. Today, due to schemes like Ujjwala scheme and drone Didi run by the central government, our sisters are using technology and are becoming self-sufficient in farming.
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a resolve to secure the future of daughters
It should be noted that a total of 1702 Sukanya Samriddhi accounts have been opened in Ashoknagar, Guna and Shivpuri districts since 1 May 2025. Of these, 518 accounts are open in the name of the daughters of Ashoknagar alone. Scindia has given personal support in these accounts himself and he will cooperate in every daughter’s account whose account will open till 1 May 2026. He said that this small cooperation will become a catalyst to uplift the daughters in the region and to fly to their spirits. He is confident that every parent will take inspiration from this initiative and take a pledge to advance his daughters because a daughter becomes a mother tomorrow and decides the future of society and nation by giving rites to her naval.
