India condemned Switzerland’s remarks on minorities at the 5th meeting of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council and urged them to focus on their issues such as racism, systematic discrimination and foreign malice instead of preaching to India. Indian diplomatic horizon Tyagi criticized Switzerland’s comments and described him based on surprising, superficial and wrong information. He described India as the world’s largest, most diverse and lively democracy, which has a strong tradition of pluralism. He offered assistance to Switzerland in these cases.

The Indian diplomat said that we would also like to react to the amazing, superficial and ignorant comments made by our close friend and partner, Switzerland. Since Switzerland presides over the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), it is even more important for him to avoid ruining the council’s time on the statements that do not do justice to such false and India’s reality. Instead, he should focus on his challenges such as racism, systematic discrimination and foreign-malice. The world’s largest, most diverse and vibrant democracy, in which civilism is civilized, is ready to help to remove these concerns of Switzerland.

The statement came after Switzerland requested India to protect minorities and to maintain freedom of expression and freedom of media. Yesterday, Switzerland said in the United Nations, “In India, we call the government to take effective steps to maintain the security of minorities and freedom of expression and the rights of media freedom.
