The 100th technology transfer agreement was signed in India’s space sector on Wednesday, making Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) independently produce short satellite launch vehicle (SSLV). This agreement, run by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center (ISRO), Nyuspace India Limited (NSIL), Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center (IN-SPACE) and HAL signed on the agreement run by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Nyuspace India Limited.

ISRO will transfer information related to SSLV to HAL including training and technical assistance in 24 months. An official statement stated that during this period, ISRO will provide necessary training and technical assistance to HAL to get information related to SSLV, including advertising to technical integration, which will eventually meet both missions under the agreement.

This agreement will help India meet the growing demand in the global short-satered launch market. The statement said that its purpose is to increase India’s capabilities in space technology and commercial activities and is an important step towards democratization of SSLV space. Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman of ISRO, said, “With the liberalization of the commercial space sector by India, opportunities are definitely increasing, and in ISRO, we have a dynamic technology transfer mechanism to achieve shared goals.
