The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority announced on Wednesday that the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu would be reopened from today, which would lift the ban on flights imposed due to adverse conditions. In an official statement, the authority said that we inform that the flights suspended due to adverse conditions have now been removed, which has been taken as per the decision taken in the meeting of the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Committee today. Passengers visiting the airport are requested to contact their respective airline companies for flight information and bring the official airline tickets and identity cards with them during the journey.

Flights are resumed amidst the ongoing security measures in the capital. The Nepali army arrested 27 people involved in looting, arson and other violent acts during the protests led by Generation Jade across Nepal, including Kathmandu, as the Himalayan Times reported on Wednesday. According to The Himalayan Times, these arrests were made between 10 am to 10 am on Tuesday night, as security forces were deployed across the country to control the ongoing protests. Security personnel also deployed three fire engines to extinguish the fire during unrest.

At the Gaushala-Chabahil-Buddhist corridor of Kathmandu, officials recovered a stolen cash of 3.37 million Nepali from the suspects. In addition, security forces seized a large number of weapons, including 31 fire scriptures, magazines and ammunition, 23 of which were seized from Kathmandu and eight from Pokhara, as the Himalayan Times reported. The army has also confirmed that 23 Nepal police officers and three civilians injured in recent clashes are undergoing treatment in military hospitals. Earlier, the Nepali army had announced implementing prohibitory orders and continuing nationwide curfew in response to increasing unrest from the protests led by Jane Z in different parts of the country.
