BRS Executive President KT Rama Rao strongly opposed the comment of Congress leader Jairam Ramesh over the political alliance in the Vice Presidential election, saying that the Congress party’s ego and authority spirit has become the reason for its defeat in national politics. Ramesh’s tweet in retaliation that the parties who are away from elections are indirectly supporting the BJP, KTR said that the Congress is still stuck in the old rote of “either with or with them”.

KTR said that Jairam ji, this right and spirit of ego has made Congress a failure in contemporary politics. ‘Either you are with us or with them’ claim is a silly argument, which shows as if the country is bipolar. We are neither the Congress’s B-Team nor the BJP’s B-Team. We are the A-Tim of the people of Telangana. Please pay attention to your failures and protect us from annoyance.
KTR argued that the Congress has been considering Indian politics as a two-way battlefield where regional parties are forced to choose their respective camps. He said, “Due to this attitude, he has lost his relevance in most states.” Explaining that BRS’s priorities are concentrated in Telangana itself, KTR said that the party’s loyalty is only to the people of the state. He insisted, “Our only loyalty is towards the people of Telangana. We represent their welfare, their aspirations and their voice in Delhi – not the game of power of the parties in Delhi.”

The Executive Chairman of the BRS advised the Congress leaders to consider their decreasing electoral grip and failures of governance instead of trying to discredit regional parties through “false duplex”. Meanwhile, in the Vice Presidential election held on Tuesday, CP Radhakrishnan, India Block candidate Justice B.K. Defeated Sudarshan Reddy by 152 votes. CP Radhakrishnan got 452 votes of first preference, while Justice Reddy got 300 votes of first preference. 15 votes were declared illegal.
