Army will now deal with the ongoing chaos in Nepal, a big warning to protesters

There was a political upheaval in Nepal after the announcement of his resignation by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli amid large-scale anti-corruption protests in Kathmandu. The situation worsened when hundreds of protesters attacked their official office and private residence. The incident occurred a day after killing more than 20 people in violent clashes over a controversial social media ban. The crisis deepened after several cabinet ministers accused the government of ignoring public grievances. Oli appealed for peace a few hours before his resignation and urged the protesters to talk. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs to assess the ongoing developments in the neighboring country.
