Security was tightened on Monday after the bomb threatened at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat of Delhi and Maulana Azad Medical College in the national capital. According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a separate call in relation to the threat was also received, after which several fire engines were sent to the spot as a precaution. Delhi Police said that threatened emails mentioned a possible explosion in both MAMC and Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Immediate and coordinated action was taken under the standard operational procedures (SOPs) and the teams (BDDT), which detect and detect bombs at both places, were deployed.

Senior officials including Additional DCP (Central), ACP Kamla Market and SHO IP Estate were present in the secretariat under supervision of an anti-sabotage investigation. At MAMC, the exercise was being monitored by the traffic officer (ATO) of the IP Estate Police Station. Appropriate steps have been taken to ensure the safety of the people present at both places. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Madhya) Nidhin Valson said in a statement that there is nothing to panic. Walson further said that a team from the cyber police station is investigating the origin and authenticity of the email. Equality has been revealed by fake threatening email sent earlier in the initial investigation.

He further stated that preliminary investigation indicates that this message may have been sent to another state. However, we are taking it very seriously and all standard operating procedures are being followed. Police said that the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Traffic Police and Special Cell have also been informed and they are helping in action. Police sources said that intensive investigation is going on at both MAMC and Secretariat, where investigative dogs and technical teams are investigating the campus. Entry and exit gates have been secured during the investigation and entry has been banned.
