On Monday, the Kathmandu district administration imposed curfew in New Baneshwar and surrounding areas as there were clashes between the protesters and the police. The protests intensified when the government decided to ban 26 unregistered social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube and Snapchat.The situation worsened when the protesters entered the prohibited area. During the protest in New Baneshwar, one person was killed in police firing, while several others were injured who have been admitted to Everest, Civil and other hospitals.Meanwhile, activists have also set up a temporary first aid camp in the Maitihar area.
