Not in the race to take credit, working with the Chief Minister like a team: Deputy Chief Minister Shinde

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is no competition to take credit for work among the ruling Mahayuti colleagues and he is working like a team with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Shinde made this comment on Saturday in response to a question asked on the advertisements of the entire page published in major newspapers. In these advertisements only Chief Minister Fadnavis was shown.

In one advertisement, Fadnavis was shown offering a wreath on the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while in the second advertisement he was shown worshiping Lord Ganesha on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi on the last day of the ten -day Ganpati festival. ‘Devbhau’ was written in Marathi under both advertisements. However, it could not be known who gave these advertisements.

On the sidelines of a public function in Thane on Saturday, journalists questioned Shinde whether this advertisement is an attempt to present himself as the architect of Chief Minister Fadnavis as a architect of Maratha reservation.

To this, Shinde said, “We are not in the race to take credit … whether the Maratha community or the other backward class (OBC) community, the Mahayuti Sarkar has done the job of getting justice to them. The acceptance of this work was seen in the last assembly election. ”

He said, “Now Devendraji and I have started my second innings as a team. Further, our agenda will remain the same -the development of the state and helping the poor and the needy.
