Canada has given a lot of respect for the martyrdom of Sikh leaders who raised the voices for human rights. The state of British Columbia has officially announced Jaswant Singh Khrara Day officially on September 6. The announcement was done on the 30th anniversary of their disappearance.
The British Columbia government has said in his letter that the September 6, 1995 is a very important day for the Sikh community. Jaswant Singh Kharara had the international watchmen and to keep their memory alive forever and his memory is an honor for the people of British Columbia. The state’s Lieutenant Governor Wendy Cokia signed the documents and announced Jaswant Singh Kalra Day on September 6.
On the other hand, the film Punjab is trapped at 95 sensorship. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film represented Jaswant Singh Kalra’s life and struggle. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBCC) has set the condition of 127 deductions before passing the film.
