The Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme has been launched with the aim of establishing women as entrepreneurs in the state. Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar has inaugurated this. After getting its approval from the cabinet, now on 7 September, the Chief Minister will release the document related to it. With this, benefit from this scheme will start. The nodal of the implementation of this scheme has been made to the Rural Development Department. Giving information related to this, departmental minister Shravan Kumar said that this is not only for women, but for the economy and society of the whole of Bihar. The purpose of this scheme is clear, providing financial support to a woman from each family of the state to start employment of her choice. When the women of the family are financially empowered, only then the whole society will progress.

Appreciating this scheme, Minister Shravan Kumar has said that under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister, a TT of 10 thousand rupees will be sent to a woman of 1 1 family in the first installment in the first installment. Not only this, after starting employment, 2 lakh rupees will be available. Today it is a matter of pride to say that Bihar is presenting the example of women empowerment across the country.
This scheme is not just a medium of economic cooperation, but it will be the heartbeat of the rural economy. The employment initiated by women will not only improve the standard of living of their families, but will create new opportunities at the local level. This will prevent migration, will increase the means of employment and income in the villages, and Bihar will move towards becoming self -sufficient and firmly.Under the program, the process of receiving applications at village organization level will begin on 7 September 2025. Web portals will also be launched for municipal bodies so that women of urban areas can also apply easily.
Mr. Shravan Kumar has also said that the Rural Development Department organized a model of “livelihood” by organizing women through the formation of self -help groups. In this journey, which started in the year 2006, more than 11 lakh self -help groups have been formed today, with more than 1 crore 40 lakh women. Now livelihood has also expanded in urban areas and 3 lakh 80 thousand women are working in more than thousand groups. Women of these groups are not only coming forward for self -employment but are also setting a new example of entrepreneurship by joining banking services. Today, about 38 lakh women have become millionaires by joining livelihood.
More than 1 crore 55 lakh women participated in 60 thousand villages under the recently organized women’s dialogue program. In this, women expressed satisfaction with the government’s plans and shared their expectations. In particular, women spoke of more employment opportunities and a decrease in loan interest rate. Taking this suggestion seriously, the government had already announced the reduction in interest rate. Now “Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme” has been launched with the aim of giving more support to women.

The Rural Development Minister said that millions of women will directly benefit from the Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme. The amount received under this scheme will be used only for employment so that the income of the family increases and the standard of living is improved. This will increase employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas and will also reduce the problem of migration from the state. Further, Mr. Shravan Kumar has also said that the popular Chief Minister of Bihar has always considered women’s participation as the center of development. Today the dream that we are seeing – strong woman, rich Bihar – this is the result of the same thinking. This scheme will pave the way for the economic freedom of millions of sisters and Bihar will enter a new self -sufficient era.
