Japan-India friendship in the new era, India will become a global manufacturing hub

Amidst the stagnation in trade talks with the US and the tariff controversy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan, while the friendship between the two countries is getting deeper, the era of new opportunities is also starting. In Japan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a very grand reception with Gayatri Mantra and Sanskrit verses. Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi set foot on Japan’s land, Japan postponed his bilateral talks with the US and postponed the visitors’ visit to Washington. It is a very adventure and tough message that now the countries of the world are not going to bow down to America. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has traveled to Japan seven times even before this visit, but the latest journey was important and historic in many terms. For the first time in the yatra, there has been a comprehensive security agreement with Japan and Japan has strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and supported India’s policies in the fight against terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a summit with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba. The purpose of this dialogue was to further extend the overall bilateral relations between India and Japan, including the sectors of trade, investment and emerging technology. Several agreements were signed between the two countries.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi invited Japanese business groups to invest in India. Addressing the Business Forum in Japan, he said that Japan is the power house of technology and the superpower of India talent. The two countries together can lead the technology revolution of this century, especially in the fields of AI, semi conductor, quantum computing, biotechnology and space, metro network, manufacturing and startups. He said that Japan has always been a major partner in India’s development journey. On possible cooperation in the clean energy sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is moving rapidly towards 500 GW renewable energy by 2030.
A 10 -year economic roadmap has been prepared during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Japan, under which Japan will invest six lakh crores in India. Earlier, in a press conference organized after the India-Japan summit, Prime Minister Modi said that, our partnership in the form of two major economies and vibrant democracy of the world is extremely important not only for both countries but also for global peace and stability. A strong democratic countries are natural partners in shaping a better world. Today we have laid the foundation of a new and golden chapter in our partnership. We have built a roadmap for the next decade.
One special thing about Prime Minister Modi’s visit was that India -Japan partnership has bilateral support in Kojapan. Prime Minister Modi met two former Japanese Prime Ministers Yoshihide Suga and Phumio Kishida. He discussed with the Speaker and a group of MPs there. As part of a unique initiative, the governor of 16 states of Japan held extensive discussion on the Prime Minister and investment etc. The Prime Minister traveled in a bullet train with the Prime Minister of Japan and discussed with Indian drivers. Now there is a strong possibility that the Bullet Train will start operating soon in India, whose preparation is going on.
There have been a total of 21 agreements between India and Japan, including defense, human resource exchange, digital innovation, critical minerals, clean energy, space cooperation and cultural partnership which will prove to be a milestone for India-Japa friendship. Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba stayed with Prime Minister Modi most of the time.
The 21 bilateral agreement with Japan is going to write a new developmental story of the new India of the 21st century. America will not forget the pain of this important partnership between India and Japan. He will definitely regret the mistake of spoiling his relationship with India. During this visit by Prime Minister Modi, a document of a joint approach of India -Japan for the next decade has also been released. There has been an important agreement on security cooperation under which both countries will use mutual resources and technical capabilities. Better harmony will be established between the armies of the two countries. There is also an agreement for Chandrayaan-5, under which Chandrayaan-5 will now be launched from the Rocket of Japan. A big step has also been taken in the field of human resources, in which both countries will provide employment to 5 lakh people in five years. In this, 50 thousand skilled and semi -skilled professionals will be sent to Japan. This will promote not only business but also cultural and environmental cooperation. Now more and more Indian youth will be able to study in universities in Japan. There has also been an agreement on increasing the digital partnership between India and Japan. High speed rail, ports, aviation and shipbuilding will also accelerate in the field of mobility.
Japan’s new investment will not only create new employment opportunities but will also play an important role in establishing India as a global manufacturing center, but will also give the people of India a better lifestyle options. India-Japan partnership is not only economic support, but it is a strong investment in the direction of a shared future. This will ensure prosperity and regional security for both countries. In the current global scenario, it is very important for Prime Minister Modi to say that India and Japan are made for each other.
