Bihar: The development of rural tolls with a population of hundred got the speed of paved roads

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and Mukhyamantri Gramin Sampark Yojana, the plan to connect the tolls and settlements of the villages of Bihar, which has a population of 100 or less, has also changed the appearance of villages. Under this scheme, the Department of Rural Affairs has set a target of constructing 14,002.33 km length roads by conducting a survey of 11,020 in the state. In which the department had given administrative approval to connect 5033 settlements and tolls with perennial paved roads. In which 1344 tolls have been connected to the paved road. The total length of rural roads, which has been built in such small tolls, is 1486.71 km. These are small hamlets and settlements that have a population of 100 people or even less.

In fact, the state government had a challenge to connect about one lakh, more than thirty thousand settlements of the state with a paved road. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, first one thousand or more population settlements were planned to be connected to the paved road. In such a situation, the state government started the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana in the year 2005-06 to connect tolls between 500 to 999 population in the first phase with paved perennial roads. Let us know that Bihar is the first state in the country, which started a campaign to connect tolls with less than one thousand population with paved roads. Later, in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the settlements of 250 or more population of 11 districts of Bihar’s 11 districts were also included.

Whereas the Bihar government started the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak contact scheme in all the districts of the state in the year 2013-14. Whereas in the year 2016-17, in the seven decision Part-1 of the state government, “Till every household and under the drain scheme, tolls with population of 100 to 249 were also launched to connect the Grameen Tola Sampark Scheme to connect with perennial roads. Under which the total construction of 39666 km to provide contacts to 4643 settlements was completed. A total of 39666 kg of rural roads were completed. Total is a total of a total of the results of these schemes. 53,575 kim roads have been constructed by providing contact to 56,640 settlements.

Along with this, about 64,430 km of road has been constructed to provide contact to 62,728 settlements under Mukhyamantri Gram Sampark Yojana, Gramin Tola Sampark Scheme and other scheme. That is, in the state, a total of one lakh, 19 thousand, 368 settlements have been constructed in the state, a total of one lakh, 18 thousand, 005 km length has been constructed.

Now the contact with the populated tolls with a population of 100 people got the contact in all 38 districts of the state to provide road connectivity to exempted settlements and tolls with a population of 100 people in the year 2023. Under which 16,652 km of road unjust was found in a total of 13,814 habitats. So far, 1344 habitations have been linked to paved perennial roads in a total of 5033 settlements. The total length of these roads is 1486.71 km.
