A advice has been issued by Punjab Department Punjab Department to avoid the diseases from water, food and vector during floods. It is said to avoid direct contact with flood water, wear safe shoes while walking in water-filled areas, wash with soap and water at times.
Just drink simultaneously or throbly water. If the water is not possible to produce boiling, use the chlorine tablets. Store water into clean and covered vessels. Do not eaten any food without flood water. Remove the standing water standing from drums, tires, and roofs to prevent mosquitoes. Use mothers and masses for children and pregnant women and put clothes with complete arms.
Avoid going to the water and busy areas after darkness. Do not put hands and feet in the grass or dense bushes. Avoid contacts for a long time with the flood water and replace wet clothes to dry clothes as soon as possible. In case of consulting the health worker, apply powder or ointment in case of having a rash. Start driving in position of the diarrhea position and go to the nearest health camp or organization for testing.

Health department issued high Alert
In view of the flood situation, the health department has declared high Alert and the teams and ambulances have been deployed for dealing with flood related diseases. 360 Mobile medical teams and 458 rapid receptions teams have been made, which is actively working in affected areas. A total of 172 ambulances have been deployed 24 hours for the flood relief. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, principal surgeons, principals of Civil Surgeons, Medical Associations (IMA), Red Cross and Camist Association, a video conferer. Medical teams are being sent a large scale and the floods are being raised the resources to provide care and relief.
