Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday dismissed the claims that the organization controls all the decisions of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking on the delay in the announcement of the new BJP president, he said that such perceptions are baseless. Bhagwat said that this is completely wrong. This cannot happen at all. Bhagwat further underlined that there may be differences in views between RSS and BJP, but there will never be differences in mind. He said that the Sangh maintains coordination with both the central and state governments, but clarified that the BJP has the right to take the final decision. He said, “In various cases, the Sangh can suggest, but the decision is always of the BJP.” He clarified that the organization does not interfere with governance or political appointments.
