Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday honored security personnel for their achievements during Operation Mahadev, killing the three convicts of the Pahalgam terror attack. On July 28, three terrorists were killed in a joint operation, known as Operation Mahadev. The campaign was run by the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police, killing the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, killing 26 civilians on 22 April. On July 29, the Union Home Minister confirmed that during Operation Mahadev, security forces killed three terrorists involved in the murder of citizens. Speaking in the Lok Sabha amidst the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor, Shah said this and said that those who killed our citizens in the Pahalgam terror attack have been killed.
Addressing the lower house, Shah said that in a joint operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police have killed three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. He said that innocent citizens were killed by asking their religion in front of their families. I condemn this barbaric act. I express my condolences to those families who have lost their loved ones.

Prior to Operation Mahadev, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation vermilion on 7 May as a decisive military response after the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 people were killed. The Indian armed forces targeted terrorist structures in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, killing more than 100 terrorists.
