With the wide input of the three armies, the principles prepared under the aegis of the Directorate, Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff (Aquachu IDS) establish a comprehensive structure of guiding principles, operational concepts and inter-governing mechanisms for the execution of special forces and air campaigns.
Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan released two important theoretical publications, joint principles for special force operations and aerial and heliborn operations during the Ran Samvad Tri-Service Seminar held at Army War College, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar today. The release ceremony was attended by Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Army Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh. Addressing the gathering present, General Chauhan appreciated the unwavering commitment to the professionalism, adaptability and solidarity of the armed forces. He emphasized that these principles would work as important references for military planners, commanders and regional operators in understanding the changing nature of modern war. The aim of the newly issued principles is to strengthen inter-service cooperation and increase joint operational readiness. Both publications are now available on the official website of integrated defense staff.
