Finally on Wednesday amidst the long -standing speculation India’s legendary cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin retired from the Indian Premier League. He played for 5 teams Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Super Giants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. This veteran player played 221 matches in a 16 -year career and scored 833 runs and took 187 wickets. He retired as the 5 most wicket -taking bowler of the IPL.
Ashwin’s IPL career will not be remembered for batting, bowling or captaincy. Even after this, his IPL career remained unique. Ashwin will be remembered for revolutionary decisions.
