In a program organized to commemorate the completion of 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the organization’s Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said that the RSS is completing 100 years of its visit. The essence of the RSS lies in the last line of our prayer, which we repeat every day, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. This is our country and we should praise it and work towards making it number one in the world. He said that the world has come close, and so we have to think globally.

Referring to Swami Vivekananda, Bhagwat said that he once said, “There is a mission of every nation that has to be fulfilled” … India also has its own contribution. If a country has to become a leader, then it should not do this for himself, but its leadership should bring a new pace in the world system. He said that the establishment of RSS is aimed at India, its function is for India, and its importance lies in becoming the ‘world guru’ of India. The time has come for India’s contribution to the world.
Mohan Bhagwat said that another wave of revolutionaries came. Many such examples came out from that wave that inspire us even today. The purpose of that revolution ended after independence. Savarkar ji was a deserted gem of that wave. That wave is no longer present and it is not even needed, but that wave was the inspiration for the country to live and die. After the revolt of 1857, some people made politics a weapon to gain freedom and this new wave was named the Indian National Congress. Many political parties came out of this. He achieved his goal of freedom … If that movement, that wave would have highlighted the way he had been as he should have been, then the picture would have been completely different today.

Mohan Bhagwat said that we are celebrating the completion of 100 years this year, but the idea of such an organization had flourished many years ago in the mind of Dr. Saheb. That idea took shape and after the 1925 ‘Vijayadashami’, Dr. Saheb announced it. He said that it was an organization for the entire Hindu community. Whoever wants to be recognized as a Hindu will have to be a responsible citizen of the country. This is a responsible community because we got this identity long ago.
