A 30-year-old woman died after a roof collapsed in Sultanpur town of Kota district in Rajasthan, while her husband was seriously injured. The police gave this information on Saturday.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijendra Singh said in the mortuary of a hospital in Kota that the incident took place on Saturday night and the deceased was identified as Yasmin, while the injured person has been identified as Javed Akhtar.
He said that the couple’s four-year-old daughter and her grandparents were sleeping in another room of a four-room house and they are safe. ASI said Yasmin died at MBS Hospital in Kota at around five in the morning.
Neighbors reached there when the roof collapses and the family made noise and found the couple pressed under the stone cables. It is estimated that the roof was weakened due to continuous rains in the past.
