Afghanistan has announced its squad for the Asia Cup 2025. For this tournament, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has elected a 17 -member team where Rashid Khan has been given the command of the team.
Earlier on August 5, ACB announced a 22 -member primary squad. Afghanistan will also have to participate in the Tri -series in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates before the Asia Cup. Apart from Afghanistan, UAE and Pakistan teams will also participate in this series. The ACB has reported that most of the players in the initial team will participate in this tri -series. The tri -series will start from August 29 and its final will be played on 7 September.
Let us know that in the Asia Cup 2025, Afghanistan is placed in Group B along with Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The Asia Cup will begin on 9 September and its title will be played on 28 September. In the very first match of the tournament, Afghanistan will face Hong Kong. This time, two cities of United Arab Emirates will be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as compared to the Asia Cup.
