Mission Gaganyaan: Rajnath Singh honored all astronauts including Shubhanshu Shukla

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today attended a ceremony organized in honor of ‘Gagan Yatris’. During this time he honored astronauts selected for the country’s first human space mission, ‘Gaganyaan’. During this, he gave Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Group Captain P.V. Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan and Group Captain Angad Pratap were greeted.
The ceremony was attended by Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and Air Force Chief Air Marshal A.P. Singh was also present.

After being honored, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla shared his views. He said that on the basis of the preparations he has done while in the Air Force, he has reached this point. He said, ‘Whatever I have experienced and whatever I have achieved, I think it was my background or in this uniform and on the basis of the preparations I had made for years, whoever is sitting here, he could do the same good work and this is the confidence that I take with me … The Air Force has created a strong character for all the people sitting here.’

Shukla described this mission as a major achievement for the country and said that this mission has happened at the right time. He said that India is now on its journey to human space flight, mission Gaganyaan, Indian space station and finally landing on the moon. He also said that human space missions are challenging, and a big engineering team and a lot of cooperation are required to make this mission a success.
He insisted, ‘This was a very successful mission for us, for our country, but it is not an end, the beginning. We have to send an Indian person, on Indian capsules, by our soil.
