The event to be held on Saturday was stopped by the police, causing a lot of uproar. According to NDTV, a senior police officer has said that Vivek Agnihotri has violated Section 2 of the West Bengal Cinema (Regulation) Act, 1954, not taking necessary administrative permission. The act controls the performance of cinema in the state. The official further said, “If they have taken necessary permission, they should at least show the document to the media.”
