US President Donald Trump on Thursday reiterated his claim that he stopped military conflict between India and Pakistan, as it could have turned into a nuclear war.
In his speech in the ‘Oval Office (President’s Office)’, Trump said, “If you look at Pakistan and India … the aircraft were being dropped in the air. Six-seven aircraft fell down. They were ready to move forward, perhaps moving towards the atomic bomb. We solved it. ”
The US President’s remarks came on the eve of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, in which he will discuss the terms of the peace agreement between the two sides to end the Ukraine War.
Trump said he thought that it would be “the easiest” to end the Russia-Ukraine war, but “it is really the most difficult”. Trump said about his upcoming meeting with Putin, “I think it will be a good meeting.”
