Third major survey vessel ‘Iks resak’ handed over to Indian Navy

Officials said the first ship ‘INS Sandhyak’ in the survey vessel category ‘INS Sandharya’ and the second ship ‘INS Director’ joined the Indian Navy in December 2024.

The third of the four major survey ships designed by the Warship Design Bureau was handed over to the Indian Navy on Thursday. The officers provided this information.

Officials said the first ship ‘INS Sandhyak’ in the survey vessel category ‘INS Sandharya’ and the second ship ‘INS Director’ joined the Indian Navy in December 2024.

According to officials, the contract for four survey vessels or SVL ships was signed in October 2018. He informed that the first of these is the SVL vessel, in which arrangements for accommodation are available for women officials and sailors.
