Giving a major setback to popular Kannada actor Darshan Thugudipa and Pavitra Gowda, the Supreme Court has canceled their bail in the murder of 33 -year -old fan Renukaswamy. Renukaswamy was allegedly abducted, assaulted and murdered by actor and his other fans. A bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice R. Mahadevan quashed the earlier Karnataka High Court verdict in the case and ordered that they be detained.
According to police sources, Darshan was arrested from the house of his wife Vijayalakshmi in Hosakerehalli, Bangalore. Sources said the actor wanted to avoid arrest and wanted to surrender before the court, but the police got information about their hideout and were arrested.
