Faridkot District Police has arrested 6 drug smugglers in five separate cases. Action has been taken under the anti -drug campaign under the leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain. A total of 304 drug bullets and 6 grams of heroin have been recovered from the accused.

The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against all the accused. Police Station City Faridkot police arrested Manpreet Singh alias Sunny Sahota, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar from Dana Mandi with 150 drug bullets.
Caught with intoxicating pills In another action, the police station city police arrested Rahul from Veerewala Road and Sukhpreet Singh of Mahikhana with 70 drugs. Police station Sadar Faridkot police arrested Mangal Singh of village Pakka with 82 drugs.
Police station Sadiq police also caught Ginder Singh with drugs. Golwala police post recovered 6 grams of heroin from village Araiyanwala Kalan from Vishnu Singh alias Deepu during checking.

Giving information about the case, DSP Trilochan Singh said that there are already a total of 9 cases registered against these accused of drug trafficking against these accused. The police will now interrogate all these accused on remand.

During this period, the police have registered a total of 248 cases of drug smuggling and 453 smugglers have been arrested in these cases.
