Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the new office of IBM in Mumbai on Wednesday. The Chief Minister described this inauguration as an important step towards shaping the future of both Maharashtra and India, more than a corporate achievement. Fadnavis said in his address that it is not just the experience center of IBM. Rather it is a place where the future of India and Maharashtra will be shaped. Highlighting the transformational capacity of emerging technologies, he stressed that Maharashtra is adopting the view of India and developed Maharashtra developed through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.

He said that quantum computing will completely change every field of our life. Especially when it comes to business, government, security, logistics, finance and market – it will have a positive impact on everything. He also spoke on AI’s influences on the real world, citing a personal experience. Recently on social media, I found a clip with my picture and voice used, but the reference was completely different. It was made in such a way that I am advising some medicine. That moment made me feel the challenges of AI.

Despite the risks, Fadnavis expressed optimism and believed that technology presents its own solutions. The solution also introduces technology. This AI presents, it only offers quantum computing. Giving the top priority to stability and climate-friendly agriculture, the Chief Minister highlighted how quantum innovation can improve the lives of millions of people. The Chief Minister said that with the help of quantum computing, sustainable agricultural practices can be achieved through new innovations. And this will actually change the lives of 40-45 percent people of Maharashtra.
