Saurabh Bhardwaj, president of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit, on Wednesday targeted the Election Commission of India and accused him of behaving like a data like a data. This is a Hindi idiom which means that the accused is blaming the accused. His remarks came after the allegation of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, alleging that the Election Commission, along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is issuing two voter photo identity cards (EPIC) numbers to its leaders and workers to manipulate the voter list in Bihar.

Talking to ANI, the AAP leader said that the way the Election Commission is still behaving, it is like ‘Dante Kotwal to Chor Kotwal’. “Those who still considered the Election Commission fair, now they feel that their behavior is like the youth branch of a political party. We, Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, have written complaint letters many times to the Election Commission, but what did the Election Commission have done? The Election Commission along with the Bharatiya Janata Party is manipulating the voter list in Bihar and issuing two voter photo identity cards (EPIC) numbers to its leaders and workers.

Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Yadav said that earlier we had talked about Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha. Now you call it a crime, call a mistake or expose, we had said earlier, but today I want to tell you that the Election Commission is helping the BJP and is cutting the votes of the opposition. BJP people are being given not one, but two voter ID cards in the same assembly. We are revealing another thing. Muzaffarpur mayor and BJP leader Nirmala Devi has two voter ID cards in the same assembly. That too different. Not only this, Nirmala Devi has two brothers, she also has two voter ID cards.

The RJD leader further alleged that during the special intensive revision (SIR) before the assembly elections, the names of people of other states are being added to the voter list of Bihar. Now the people of Gujarat are becoming voters of Bihar. BJP in -charge Bhikhubhai has become a voter of Dalsania Patna. He cast his last vote in Gujarat in 2024, but he is still a voter of Patna. His name was cut off in Gujarat, but it is worth noting that it has not been five years and you changed the place and started voting. When Bihar elections are over, where will they go after cutting the name?
