The university has made it mandatory for each candidate to deposit a bond of one lakh rupees while filing nomination papers to prevent deformation. It says that if the candidates or their supporters are found to be violating the deformation norms, then this amount will be confiscated. Reacting to the guideline, Dusu President Raunak Khatri said, “This guideline is not suitable for students, because no person from low income group cannot fill a bond of one lakh rupees required for enrollment. So they will not be able to contest elections even if they want to.”
