Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that India will not be allowed to snatch even a single drop of water of Pakistan. A day after the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam, India took several punitive steps against Pakistan, including postponing the 1960 Indus Water Treaty.
Pakistan has repeatedly warned that any intervention to stop water will be considered as war action. Addressing a function here, Prime Minister Sharif said, “I want to tell the enemy today that if you threaten to stop our water then keep in mind that you cannot snatch even a single drop of Pakistan’s water.” He warned that if India takes any such action, you will be taught again that you will have to regret it.
