Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha of placing two separate voter IDs, in which his age is also said to be different. In response, Sinha dismissed these allegations outright and described it as an insult to constitutional institutions and a threat to democracy. He has denied any fraud.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has retaliated after RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused him of keeping two voter ID cards. Tejashwi accused Sinha of having two voter IDs from two different assembly constituencies in a press conference and also presented evidence of it.

Vijay Sinha’s retaliation

Reacting to Tejashwi Yadav’s allegations, Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “These people are becoming a threat to democracy by making confusion about constitutional institutions and spreading confusion about constitutional institutions.” Referring to the process of amending the voter list, he said that this process takes place before every election. Sinha said that the Bharatiya Janata Party does not play such ‘sports’, but works in the interest of democracy and respects constitutional institutions. He clearly said, “Vijay Sinha neither cheat nor insults the constitutional institution.”

Tejashwi Yadav’s allegations

Tejashwi Yadav claimed that Vijay Kumar Sinha has two voter IDs. In one voter ID, he is stated to be 57 years old, while 60 years in the second. He said that this information is also available in the Election Commission website and the new voter list. Yadav said, “Only two things can happen: Either the entire process of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Election Commission is fake or the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar is fake.”
